Boarding with Portable Ramps - Hellenic Train

Boarding and alighting using portable ramps is supported on:

Athens Suburban Railway (Piraeus – Athens – Ano Liosia – Airport)
Piraeus – Kiato line
Kiato – Aigio line
Athens – Chalkida line
Katakolo – Olympia line
Patras Suburban Railway

Infrastructure and Equipment

Stations and trains of the Athens Suburban Railway provide:

boarding ramps for passengers with reduced mobility
visual passenger information screens (on most trains)
audio announcements (on all trains)
- low-height staffed ticket counters at Metamorfosi, Athens Airport, Agioi Anargyroi

Important Notice

Across the wider Hellenic Train network, unplanned travel for PRM passengers is generally not feasible.

If a passenger arrives at a ticket office without prior arrangement, the request will be assessed on-site, and the passenger will be informed:

whether immediate travel is possible, or
of alternative options (e.g. nearest accessible boarding or alighting station)
