Travel with Wheelchairs

Travel for passengers using wheelchairs is available on selected routes within the Hellenic Train network.

Available route

Athens – Thessaloniki – Athens

Specially designed compartments for passengers with reduced mobility are available on the following train services:

IC 50
IC 56
IC 51
IC 57

Passengers and their companions requiring specific assistance may travel in these compartments, following prior coordination with Customer Service. Τhis apartment can also accommodate passengers who need special conditions during the journey. Please, contact Hellenic Train Customer Service Office before embarkation.

Wheelchair specifications

For safe transport, wheelchairs must not exceed:

maximum width: 70 cm
maximum length: 130 cm

Service conditions

Up to two (2) wheelchair users per train service can be accommodated
Companions may travel in the same compartment upon prior arrangement
These trains are equipped with accessible toilets
