Hellenic Train offers a 25% discount on A' and B'class tickets for passengers over 65 years of age
Special discount prices are applied to the Patras Suburban and to the local Lianokladi - Stylida line.
If the passenger chooses the return travel option, the 25% discount can be combined with the return 20% discount. This combination of discounts is valid for travel on the routes Athens-Thessaloniki, Athens-Leianokladi, Larissa-Volos, Thessaloniki- Serres-Drama-Alexandroupoli, and Alexandroupoli-Orestiada-Ormenio.
In any case, the amount of the discount cannot exceed 40% of the initial ticket value.
Pelion and Katakolo-Pyrgos-Olympia tourist trains are excluded from the provision of discounts.
Multi-journey cards
- A 25% discount is applied to the issuance of multi journey cards for travel on the Piraeus-Athens-Kiato regional line.
- Discounted prices are applied on the regional lines Athens-Chalkida, Thessaloniki-Larissa, Thessaloniki-Florina, on the Patras suburban line and on the Lianokladi-Stylida line.
In order to receive the above discounts, it is necessary to present an ID card or Passport or Driver's License (in digital or printed form) that certifies the passenger's age.
