Discount at Hellenic Train tickets
For university students and public "IEK" students up to 22 years old, Hellenic Train applies discounts, valid on B' class tickets:
- 25% discount.
- 50% discount is valid for the university and public "IEK" students, who move from their place of residence to the headquarters of their study department & vice versa. Also the 50% discount is applied when their journey is a part of the whole journey that connects their place of residence to their study department.
- 50% discount to all students who travel from any station of Athens Suburban Regional Railway to Patras Suburban Railway and vice versa.
Special discount prices are applied to Patras Suburban and the local Lianokladi – Stylida line.
Also, beneficiaries of the above discounts are applied to foreign students studying at Greek Universities (AEI) under the EU Erasmus program and they are valid for the duration of their studies within the framework of the EU's Erasmus program.
Multi-journey cards
- 50% discount on the regional line Piraeus - Athens – Kiato and on the Athens-Chalkida regional line for those of the above beneficiaries moving from their place of residence to their study department and vice versa.
- 25% discount on the regional line Piraeus - Athens – Kiato.
- Discount prices are applied on the regional lines of Athens-Chalkida, Thessaloniki-Larissa, Thessaloniki-Florina, on the suburban Patras and on the Lianokladi-Stylida line.
The above discounts are granted upon presentation of a valid academic ID, which has
been issued by a Greek University / public "IEK".
The Pelion train and the tourist train of Katakolo-Olympia line, are excluded from the provision of discounts.
