To the Athens Marathon by train

As November approaches, Athens gets ready for its biggest sports event. The Athens Authentic Marathon 2015 will be held on November 8, with a record participation of over 16.000 runners in the emblematic race from Marathon to the Kallimarmaron Stadium. This year SEGAS (Hellenic Athletics Federation), the event’s organizer, has decided to focus on increasing the mass participation of runners in the 5K and 10K races, thus expressing sympathy for people suffering financially and socially.

Wishing to contribute to the Athens Marathon’s success, to stimulate the city’s tourism and to promote the great sporting event, TRAINOSE offers free transportation to international athletes who will use the suburban railway from the El. Venizelos Airport to the city center and vice versa. This privilege is reserved for Marathon participants from November 5th to November 10th. Moreover, on race day free transportation will also be offered to Greek athletes for the route Koropi- Magoula-SKA-Peiraeus, upon presenting their Marathon id card or any other race participation document.
