Athens, August 24, 2025 – Hellenic Train informs the traveling public that today, at 15:27, train 1336, operating on the Diakopto – Kalavryta route, came to a stop near the Triklia area due to a technical issue.

A backup train was immediately dispatched to the location. The 38 passengers are to be transferred from the immobilized train to the assistance train, under the supervision of the Fire Department, which is expected to arrive shortly. The assistance train will return to Diakopto with the 38 passengers.

Hellenic Train is investigating the cause of the incident and asks for the understanding of the traveling public.

A further update regarding the status of services on the Diakopto – Kalavryta line will follow.

Latest update: The transfer of passengers who had remained on the immobilized train 1336, operating on the Diakopto – Kalavryta route near the Triklia area, has just been completed with the assistance and supervision of the Fire Department. Passengers were transferred to the backup train and are returning to Diakopto. A Hellenic Train bus is waiting there to assist any passengers wishing to continue to Kalavryta, the original destination of the train service.
