ANNOUNCEMENT 26/05/2026 - Resumption of Rail Services between Thessaloniki and Florina

Athens, 26 May 2026 – Hellenic Train announces the resumption of rail services between Thessaloniki and Florina, effective from Saturday, 30 May 2026.

Specifically, two pairs of direct daily services will operate on the Thessaloniki – Edessa – Florina route and vice versa, with intermediate stops.

The timetable is as follows:

From Thessaloniki to Florina:

  • Train 731: Departure at 10:40 – Arrival at 13:44
  • Train 733: Departure at 13:55 – Arrival at 17:01 

From Florina to Thessaloniki:

  • Train 730: Departure at 06:45 – Arrival at 09:49
  • Train 732: Departure at 14:15 – Arrival at 17:21 

Intermediate stops along the route include Sindos, Adendro, Platy, Alexandria, Veria, Naoussa, Skydra, Edessa, Arnissa and Amyntaio.

Please note that Train 730 (Florina – Thessaloniki) on 30 May 2026 will be operated by bus, making intermediate stops at Amyntaio, Arnissa, Edessa, Naoussa, Veria, Alexandria and Platy. From 31 May 2026 onwards, the service will operate normally by train.

At the same time, the trains operating on the Thessaloniki – Edessa – Thessaloniki route (1735 and 1736) will run with revised departure and arrival times, as follows:

  • Train 1735 (Thessaloniki – Edessa): Departure at 18:30 – Arrival at 20:12
  • Train 1736 (Edessa – Thessaloniki): Departure at 20:45 – Arrival at 22:27 

It is also noted that the bus services which had temporarily replaced rail services on the Edessa – Florina – Edessa section will cease operating as of 30 May 2026.

The resumption of services to Florina contributes to strengthening regional connectivity and sustainable mobility, providing reliable travel options for passengers.
