ANNOUNCEMENT 26/7/2023 - COMPENSATIONS
Hellenic Train informs the passengers of trains 54, 56, 55 and 57 (Athens - Thessaloniki and Thessaloniki - Athens), as well as the passengers of train 887 (Kalambaka - Athens), who today, 26/7, travelled with the company's buses due to the fire that interrupted the traffic, that they are entitled to compensation, according to the European Regulation 782/2021.
The claim for compensation can be made up to three (3) months after the incident. The compensation shall be paid within one (1) month of the request.
Passengers on the above trains are entitled to be compensated with 50% of the value of their ticket from the company's physical ticket offices, by issuing a nominal voucher valid for one year or in cash.
Alternatively, and in agreement with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, Hellenic Train offers a free ticket of equal value with the right to travel until the end of the year.
