The Junior Rolling Stock Engineer supports the Engineering Department in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of the company’s rolling stock fleet. The role focuses on monitoring maintenance activities, analyzing technical issues, and assisting in the development and optimization of maintenance instructions and schedules.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist on the planification, monitoring and update of the maintenance schedule for rolling stock, according to the rolling stock fleet usage and evolution and the maintenance instructions
• Monitor the implementation of technical specifications and maintenance instructions for the preventive and corrective maintenance of rolling stock and issue related technical reports.
• Monitor the failures and issues reported from rolling stock and related equipment, analyze them and propose specific corrective actions to improve efficiency and effectiveness of rolling stock and equipment usage
• Adapt the maintenance activities and rules of the rolling stock to national and international rules and regulations (ECM, RIV, GCU)
• Conduct various technical studies on the rolling stock and related equipment

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Desired Qualifications:

• Previous work experience in facilities and equipment maintenance
• Familiarity with railway systems and railway operation procedures
• Knowledge of safety regulations and industrial standards (e.g. ISO, CENELEC)
