Junior Health & Safety Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development, update, and harmonisation of internal health & safety instructions procedures and relevant documents.
• Conduct periodic audits and inspections to the Company’s depots to monitor health and safety issues, including reporting and coordination of all related activitiesreviews to ensure alignment with applicable regulations
• Support investigation of health & safety accidents and near-misses by collecting data, performing root-cause analysis, and preparing technical reports in collaboration with safety technicians
• Assist in the definition and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions. Monitoring the findings of internal and external inspections/ audits, as well as non-conformities and other actions related to the Health & Safety Management System
• Collect, analyse, and report health and safety data and KPIs (maintain and update registers)
• Support the Head of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management in activities related to the implementation of health and safety culture to reduce H&S accidents through trainings and other actions that will be considered as necessary
• Participate in related meetings, committees, and working groups.

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering, Transport Systems or equivalent.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
• 1-2 years of proven work-related experience (work site, industry, office, construction projects)
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 principles and general standards
• Familiarity with the role of safety technician
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in Greek (native or excellent level).
• Proficient in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with railway systems and railway operation procedures
• Understanding of EU railway safety regulations, operational rules, and industrial standards.
• Understanding of Human and Organization Factors and application of non-technical skills in operational contexts.
• Internal auditor or lead auditor certification regarding ISO 45001
• Familiarity with health and safety legislation (e.g 3850/2010)
