Junior Maintenance Safety Engineer (Thessaloniki)

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the development, update, and harmonisation of internal maintenance safety instructions, procedures, and operational rules.
• Audit, Inspection and Monitoring of Procedures of the Rolling Stock Maintenance System, internal Procedures and Procedures related to external Suppliers
• Support investigation of safety incidents and near-misses by collecting data, performing root-cause analysis, and preparing technical reports.
• Assist in the definition and follow-up of corrective and preventive action plans.
• Collect, analyse, and report maintenance safety data and KPIs.
• Maintain registers (hazard log, risk log, incident & near-miss logs) and support trend analysis.
• Support the Head of Rolling Stock Maintenance Safety in activities related to regulatory compliance.
• Support internal audits and ECM performance assessments.
• Participate in safety meetings, committees, and working groups.
• Assisting the training in the implementation of the Rolling Stock Maintenance System

Required Qualifications:

• Degree in Engineering, Transport Systems or equivalent.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluency in Greek (native or excellent level)
• Proficient in English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Desired Qualifications

• Familiarity with railway systems and railway operation procedures
• Understanding of EU railway safety regulations, operational rules, and industrial standards.
• Experience with CENELEC standards (e.g. EN 50126, 50129) relevant to railway safety and RAMS
• Italian is considered a plus
